- The project will be carried out via Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for 10 years
- The power of the photovoltaic system will be 700 kWp. It is expected to be operational in the first half of 2021
- The project is part of the company’s strategy to reach 20 MW of photovoltaic power in PPA contracts for self-consumption by 2021
On the way to the goal of achieving zero net greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, NESTLE Spain has chosen ENERTIKA to implement a photovoltaic solar farm for self-consumption on the grounds of Nestlé’s roasted coffee factory in Reus (Tarragona).
Through this agreement, Enertika will make the investment and operate and manage the facility for the first 10 years, by means of a renewable electricity sales agreement. After this time, the plant will be owned by Nestlé.
This photovoltaic installation located on nearly one hectare of the factory’s land will make use of more than 1,500 latest generation pv panels with a total power of more than 700 kWp. Thus, on an annual basis, these photovoltaic panels will provide the factory with the energy equivalent to the consumption of 315 households.
