Thus, it is established as an open platform that uses the standards to connect with different Internet of Things (IoT) devices and third systems.

The incorporation of W-City to our energy management service provides important benefits to our clients such as simplification of decision making. All of this, thanks to the centralization of data or the increase of savings that we obtain both in energy and in costs due to the optimization of maintenance.

On the 19th, 20th and 21st of November, our partners at WATTABIT will be hosting one of the largest events providing a unique meeting point for the entire smart city ecosystem, the Smart City Expo World Congress.

The Success of Marrakech’s Public Lighting Management

The city of Marrakech, together with the organization Société d’Investissements Energétiques, awarded Enertika and Wattabit’s solution the tender for the largest energy efficiency project for Smart Cities awarded in Morocco.

The scope of the project consists of the feedback of up to 60,000 points of public lighting throughout the city of Marrakech. In two years, all the light points will be changed to LED lighting. The tender awarded also includes a 10-year contract for the monitoring and remote controlling of the installation. It also includes the maintenance and energy management of the public lighting system thanks to our Global Energy Management service.

Some of the key advantages we have brought to the successful realization of energy and economic savings include:

  • Real-time fraud detection and prevention (representing 20% of the energy bill for the public lighting system)
  • Optimized and digitized O&M activities based on data analysis
